HOW DO YOU TINT WINDOWS?
Patterns are individually cut for each window and heat shrunk to fit the curve and shape of your window. All preperation takes place on the outside of the glass. Your windows inside are then meticulously cleaned and prepared for application. The release liner on the film is then removed and the film is carefully placed into position and applied via the use of a soft rubber squeegee on the inside of you vehicle.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO TINT MY CAR?
Obviously installation times vary on different types of vehicles. As an average, we would ask to have your car for around 3 hours, we will however ask for as long as it takes to complete the installation to our own high standards!
HOW LONG WILL THE FILM LAST?
All SunTek automotive window film is backed by a manufactures LIFETIME warranty
WILL THE FILM AFFECT MY HEATED REAR SCREEN?
No, the film will not interfere with your heated rear screen. It will merely assit in heating a larger area of your screen, and your heating element lines will not interfere with the film.
HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE I CAN USE
THE WINDOWS AS NORMAL?
Your up and down windows will require 3 days (manufactures suggestion) to cure before operating them as normal. We recommend not cleaning the inside of your treated windows for 7 days after installation. It is our advice not to apply window stickers inside on the glass, as should you wish to remove them at a later date you run the risk of damaging the film
CAN WE RE-TINT A WINDOW WITH DAMAGED FILM?
Yes! film can be removed from your car, we would recommend that you have this done professionally to aviod associated costly damage. We have the correct tools and chemicals to remove stubbon adhesives. Re-tinting your car is then the same as starting from afresh
WHAT IS THE VISIBILITY FROM INSIDE THE CAR LOOKING OUT?
Execellent! SunTek films are optically stable so you get true colour perception. Even a darker tint looks completely different when viewed from inside the car. There are benefits with regards to film and visibility, as it will reduce glare, such as the sun getting in your eyes and dazzle from headlights at night. Therefore reducing eye strain and making driving more comfortable and safe.
HOW DURABLE IS THE FILM?
All our films have a quality durable scratch resistant coating which is designed to cope with the day to day usage of your up and down windows, when cleaning them, just use a clean cloth, with no grit embedded in it, which can scratch even un-tinted glass
HOW DO I CLEAN THE FILM ONCE APPLIED?
Cleaning window film is easier than cleaning glass, as the surface is smoother. We recommend cleaning with a soft clean cloth, or clean paper towel, with water a little washing up liquid added, its that easy! Aviod cream abrasive or commercial cleaners that contain ammonia
WILL THIS PROTECT MY CHILDREN OR PETS?
Yes all SunTek films offer 99% rejection of harmful UV rays, factory tinted glass DOES NOT. Heat rejection can be up to 40% depending on the shade of the film applied. It will keep your children safer and cooler. What protection does your stick on sun shade on your window offer?, (which only covers part of the window) The simple answer is NOTHING. Its the same for the dogs in the hatchback, look after them too!
